Father again today we come to you in prayer as lives are torn apart and property dismantled laying in ruin across our coastline. Your storm still raging and marching its path north, still yet to cause more destruction and devastation to our lives. Slow moving and hovering over our cities and homes its power relentless, its damage yet to be seen.
We humbly bow before you and ask for mercy. Be merciful and spare lives that they not perish in great numbers. Give strength and safety to all responders who are risking their lives for their fellow-man. Direct their efforts and keep them in your care as they attempt to rescue your people.
In our Lord Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.
Today all eyes are on Matthew. We watch, we wait, we pray.
