Matthew 12:28 KJV
We are a brave group of ladies who have taken this Write 31 Day challenge. We are true Christian soldiers marching forward to the unknown battlefield. Everyday we write not knowing where the words will lead us, but we write just the same.
I would like to take today to lift us all before our Lord. To ask his continued blessings and guidance upon our words. To ask him to keep us humbly valiant in the fight.
As we all share daily what the Lord lays on our heart we experience emotions that can be overwhelming. They can stop us in our tracks if we let them.
Sometimes it feels like I have bravely gone to the surgical table to receive an operation I wasn’t sure I even needed. I feel the pain and the sharp edge of the knife that is cutting away at the very core of the remaining self I have fought so long to hang on to. I read the words of my fellow soldiers, and return again to the operating table.
When my fellow soldiers are wounded it saddens my heart. If I could I would bind up the injured and place salve on the wounds, but I can’t and so I pray and leave the healing to my Great God!
I want to tell them, hang in there, we need you. We all need each other. Weary soldiers need rest. Take time to rest, and while you do, the coals and embers of your fire will warm us, and keep us in the battle in your absence. When you return you will be able to rekindle the flames of the fire within you and join rank again.
Women are the perfect soldiers to send into this emotional battlefield. By nature God has given us the emotional heart. We sense, feel and respond so very differently than Logical Man to all things spritual. We share our hearts with tears and laughter and need to edify and lift up each other as we march through the 31Days of this month.
l Compare us to Gideon’s army of 300 in Judges Chapter 7. We truly were the chosen, who lapped water from their cupped hand. The few he has chosen to send to win this battle and bring him Glory.
