There is one place in our homes that expresses more love, joy and pleasure than any other. I know it to be “The heart of the Home!” The Place that gives life and love to those we care for. Wonderful aromas beckon the senses and envoke excitement with anticipation.
I love to hear, mmmm what are you cooking? The good smells of a well used kitchen is priceless!
I think it a sad thing that women’s lives today do not allow enough time to utilize this haven for its intended purpose. Not many years ago the kitchen was such a happy place. Daily it was used to bring joy and pleasantness to the server and those served.
Women understood its value to the family and were pleased to use it well. They took pride in caring for their family with genuine joyful thankful hearts.
I love to cook!
Preparing meals is such a wonderful thing. I have always loved to cook. I never really gave it much thought, how much I loved it that is. But when I think about it, I really do love it!
It is a gratifying love. You plan , you prepare and then serve to those you love, wonderful thought out menus with care and love. Good food is a perfect expression of love.
Planing the meal is the best part. The finished product is served with care and beauty. Somehow it makes the food taste better when it is placed on the serving plate just right.
My husband is funny. So many times when I place our food onto the table he will say, this is so pretty we need to take a picture! I have had to stop him because we already have far too many pictures of our meals. I like what he is saying though. What he is saying is the greatest of compliments.
He is contantly taking pictures. He never shows them to anyone, he just takes pictures. He takes pictures of me in my kitchen in my apron. By the way, I am a seamstress and I make pretty aprons to wear while I prepare my meals. He loves my aprons!I don’t know why he takes pictures, but I just keep cooking while he does.
When he comes home from work the aromas of the food welcome him home in a pleasant way. It makes the hard work of his day disappear in a way, and I like that. I treat him like a King and I like that too. I want to make my man happy and he in return makes me very happy.
I used to hear people say that “The way to a man’s heart is through his stomach”, and I suppose there is some truth in that statement. Men love Good food.
Sad that in todays world many have to go out and spend a good chunk of money to get it. How sad is that!
