keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed. To be discreet, chaste,
Ladies we have come a very long way up this mountain thus far. I commend all of you for your diligence in pressing forward. We are nearing the top of this climb.
As with most things in this life, sometimes when victory is just around the corner, we faint, we falter or throw in the towel. Let us keep pace here and keep our sights on the prize of victory. Do not let the enemy win, we’ve come too far!
In order to reach the top we must deal with a hard place in today’s world. Our word search study has now brought us to the woman’s role of “Keepers at Home”.
As with most all other roles we woman are assigned by God in these scriptures, this one too is questioned in meaning by even our Churches and Christian community.
- How dare we question our Great God on words easy to be understood.
- How dare we ignore or change his intended meaning of this vital place he needs us to be.
Everyday I read other writers echoing their personal state of daily affairs to be too cumbersome. They are tired and frustrated with the incomplete tasks of home due to their schedules.
The way I see it:
- We have dug ourselves a pit.
- We have painted ourselves in a corner.
Women as a whole have bought into the trap of duel incomes being a necessity. Hogwash!
While we leave our homes to add money to the household income, the money people of the world adjust the economy to make sure you never get ahead. They let you report your income on the household financial statement and qualify for more loans for bigger houses and other things, and the trap worsens.
We are so busy, that we are neglecting the things we were created to do.
There is much honor and reward in these resposibilities assigned to us. If we would stop focusing on rights, and just apply our daily work to our God given resposibilities, our lives would be so much easier and sweeter. We would be fulfilled and have peace and joy. And plenty of time.
You see our homes, our families require us to help manage and keep them in a state that is healthy. We can not neglect them for love of money, careers or even work for our Churches. The home is our 1st resposibility. Our employer is our heavenly Father and his pay checks are emornous!
Let us women get back at the helm of the ship before it crashes into the rocks. Casualties are occuring. Our children, our husbands and ourselves are on board this ship. It is being tossed in the waves and needs us back at the helm.
We all have 24 hours in everyday. Our God thought it enough to complete all tasks he assigns. Schedules may need to be cut, assessed and altered. Adjust, pray and live in the blessings of your home.
Ladies when we stand before God will we hear “well done thou good and faithful servant?”
As we complete this study I would like us to follow the Lords good advice about the wisdom of many counselors. I will leave you with the following link to help confirm these truths we study here today. I have notified the author of the writing and know God can use it as a help for us women.
